Castaway Charters main boat is a 32 foot Sport fish model yacht, with a 12 foot beam, loads of room for groups up to 5 persons. The cockpit is fully equipped with new 10 ft 6in rods and Shimano reels. Our lure depths are controlled with Scotty electric downriggers, allowing us to fish any depth with light line and fast retrieval of cannon balls. The deck also has a sea and fresh water wash down system, to assist us in keeping your catch and play area spotless throughout your day.
The helm has all the best electronics complete with Furuno Radar for keeping watch on other boats and obstacles, the new Lowrance LCX-112C Fish Finder and GPS Combo System, with a 10inch color screen.
This state of the art system allows us to find schools of Salmon and Halibut and stay on them while you reel them in. The added beauty of this system allows us to mark the hot spots on our screen and continue to work them until we are ready to move on. This system always knows exactly where we are and where we will be going. Communications are handled by 2 VHF radios and cell phone.
The Galley below has all the conveniences of home, a full bathroom with an electric fresh water flushing toilet. Your wives will Love this.
Castaway is powered by Twin 350 Chevy 4 bolt Marine engines pushing over 350 HP each. These engines are new since 2009, giving a cruising speed of 20 to 25 MPH and full out over 40MPH.Castaways new boat ( Lil Castaway) is a 25foot Offshore Deep V- Hourston, powered by one 350 Chevy 4 bolt Marine Engine.Lil Castaway also has the best of Lowrance, Radar, Fish finder, GPS. VHS radio and cell phone. Great size boat for 1 to 3 person Fishing Charters. Yes we even have a private head on Lil Castaway. All trips depart with two 150 quart coolers lined with fresh new salt ice and your catch is bled prior to going into these coolers on the boat. This bleeding gives you the best meat possible; your Halibut filets will be pure white. This is the only way to care for your catch; after all it is most likely the best fish you will ever enjoy. Upon our return your catch is filleted and repacked on new salt ice in your coolers for transport home. If un opened they will remain fresh and cold for over 2 days allowing plenty of time if you are driving home.After your successful days fishing, digital photos are taken of your catch and posted on our web site and exchanged with your photos via email.
