 Castaway Charters is Owned and Operated by Paul Grimston. Your captain, Paul, has over 14 years experience fishing the West Coast Waters off Vancouver Island. Castaway chose to be located in Ucluelet for good reason. You can get here by either driving to us on paved roads or by flying in to a nearby airport allowing more fishing time and less travel time for your holiday. La Perouse Bank, a large undersea plateau jutting out of the deep waters is located within 12 to 25 miles from shore. This is where the bait fish live most of the year with the hungry salmon and halibut close behind. This bank offers the most consistent fishing on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. |

Castaway chose to operate with its 32 foot long yacht. It boasts a full 12 foot wide beam with twin engines for several good reasons, a couple being.
